Wood is not concrete. High pressure aimed with force raises the fibres and leaves the deck rough and scored forever. We wash in gentle mode (≤150 bar), along the grain, with the right nozzle, removing the green and built-up dirt and bringing back the colour without harming the wood.
Why it is not worth putting off
A deck with green film becomes slippery, dangerous around the pool or on the balcony. And trapped moisture speeds up rotting. A timely wash gets the deck ready for summer and extends its life.
How we do it
- Gentle mode ≤150 bar, always along the grain of the wood
- A suitable nozzle/fan, cleans without "fraying" the surface
- A detergent made for wood, biodegradable near greenery
- Optional: oil/sealing to seal and bring out the colour
Mistakes we see (and avoid)
- High pressure up close, raises the fibres and scores the wood
- Washing against the grain, leaves visible marks
- Aggressive products that dry out and grey the wood
