Service provider

The service is provided by Borys Volkov, sole trader, under the brand “Impeca”, tax number (NIF) 318 697 505, business address Avenida de Aliados, 167, 2.º Dto, 4400-011 Vila Nova de Gaia, Portugal. Contact: [email protected] and the site chat. Activity: exterior cleaning (pressure washing) and at-home upholstery cleaning (sofas, mattresses, rugs, chairs) in Greater Porto. Interior services may be carried out by a partner technician, under our responsibility and invoiced by us.

1. Price and what it includes

The prices shown on the site and in the calculator are a guide; the final amount is confirmed before the service, after we go over all the details. They include cleaning product and travel (Greater Porto up to 20 km). More than 20 km from our base: travel of €1 per km above 20 km (straight-line distance), shown on the booking page before you confirm. Interior (sofas, mattresses, rugs, chairs): guide price per item, rugs per m², minimum order €35.

The activity falls under the special VAT exemption scheme under article 53 of the Portuguese VAT Code; no VAT is added to the prices shown.

2. Booking request (no prepayment)

A request made on the site is a booking request. The booking is confirmed once Impeca confirms it with you by phone or WhatsApp. There is no prepayment and no deposit: the service is paid in full at the end (MB WAY or cash), with an invoice. You can cancel or change it freely, at no cost; we only ask you to let us know as soon as possible so we can free up the slot.

3. Booking details and adjustment

The price is based on the details provided by the client (type of surface, area, level of dirt, access to water). If the reality on site differs significantly, we propose in writing: (a) an adjusted price before starting, or (b) not carrying out the service. As there is no prepayment, nothing is charged if the service does not go ahead.

4. Shared time risk

If, with correct details, the work significantly exceeds the estimated duration, each additional 30 minutes is charged at only 50% of the corresponding hourly rate: we share the risk of the estimate.

5. Right of withdrawal (distance contracts)

Under Decree-Law no. 24/2014, consumers generally have 14 days to withdraw from contracts concluded at a distance. By requesting a booking, the client expressly requests the scheduling and start of the service for a specific date and time of their choice. As there is no prepayment of any kind, the client can cancel at no cost until the service starts. Where the service is fully performed within the 14-day period, with the consumer’s prior express consent and acknowledgement that they lose the right of withdrawal once the contract has been fully performed (article 17(1) of the same Decree-Law), the right of withdrawal cannot be exercised for the service already performed.

6. Cancellation, refunds and changes

There is no prepayment: the client can cancel or reschedule freely, at any time and at no cost. We only ask you to let us know as soon as possible, so we can free the date and time for other clients. If bad weather prevents the service from being carried out safely, we reschedule at no cost. Lack of access to the site on the agreed date counts as a cancellation, at no cost, but we appreciate advance notice.

7. Force majeure

In duly proven situations of force majeure beyond the client’s control (for example, sudden illness with a medical certificate, an accident or an emergency), we assess each case individually and reschedule at no cost. As there is no prepayment, there are no amounts to refund. Just contact us.

8. Liability and damage

We carry out the service with appropriate professional care and are liable for damage resulting from our fault in carrying it out. Before starting, we point out in writing any visible weakness and, if in doubt about a surface, we do a small test patch.

We are not liable for: (a) pre-existing damage or weaknesses documented in the “before” photo (for example, paint or render already flaking, old broken tiles, degraded joints or sealants, cracked stone); (b) consequences of incorrect details provided by the client about the surface or the site; (c) indirect damage or loss of profit. The client is responsible for removing or protecting sensitive items in the area to be washed and for keeping doors and windows closed.

9. Quality and complaints

If the result does not match what was agreed, contact us: we assess each situation individually and seek a fair solution. New dirt, later bad weather or pre-existing damage (documented in the “before” photo) are not covered.

Satisfaction guarantee for sofa, mattress, rug and chair cleaning: if, once dry, a stain we agreed to remove is still visible, we come back and clean it again at no cost. It does not apply to stains we warned you, before starting, might not come out completely.

10. Invoicing

Each service is documented with before/after photos, available on your personal booking page. After payment, the corresponding invoice/receipt is issued and made available on the same booking page.

11. Complaints and Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR)

The client can file a complaint through the electronic Complaints Book (Livro de Reclamações) at livroreclamacoes.pt.

In the event of a consumer dispute, the consumer may turn to the competent Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) entity:

More information: Consumer Portal, www.consumidor.gov.pt (under Law no. 144/2015 of 8 September).

12. Applicable law

These terms are governed by Portuguese law. For questions about the service, contact us by email ([email protected]) or through the site chat.
