A grey garage door in the city centre, with a black tag sprayed more than six months earlier. The owner had given up on removing it himself. Here is the job, step by step.

Fresh graffiti almost always comes off completely. After months of sun and rain, the solvents have worked into the coating: the black paint comes off, but the surface underneath is no longer the same. It loses gloss and leaves a «ghost» of the tag, visible at certain angles of light. That is exactly what happened here, and it is why we always say: the sooner, the better.
A remover made for coated surfaces, applied zone by zone and neutralised, with no scraping and no aggressive jet (which would have stripped the coating). All the black came off, and the damage the paint had done underneath came into view.

Stopping here would mean handing over a half-finished job. The coating was visibly marked, so we treated the door the way you treat car paint: automotive polish, to even out the gloss and soften the mark left behind.
On top goes a clear anti-graffiti varnish. This is the part that matters in the long run: it adds a sacrificial layer, so the next tag comes off in minutes, with far less effort and without touching the paint of the door again.

With old graffiti we promise what is possible: take the paint off and give the door an even look again. What months-old paint has marked into the coating only disappears completely with a repaint, and we say so up front, not at the end.
