Is sofa fabric protection worth it? Who it suits and what to expect
Fabric protection is a treatment applied to the sofa fabric after cleaning; it helps repel liquids and stops new stains from setting. It does not make the sofa proof against everything: it gives you time to clean before the stain sinks in.
What the treatment does
- A spill stays on the surface longer instead of soaking straight into the fabric
- Coffee, juice or wine stains come out more easily if dealt with quickly
- The sofa stays clean for longer after a deep clean
What it does not do
- It is not a cover: a glass left for hours will eventually soak in
