How long does a sofa take to dry after cleaning

It is the question almost everyone asks before booking: «will I be without a sofa all day?». No. With injection-extraction cleaning the sofa is dry in 2 to 6 hours, because the machine sucks back almost all the water it injects.
What the time depends on
The fabric: microfibre and thin fabrics dry faster than thick ones
The foam: thick cushions hold moisture for longer
The room: with the window open and air moving it dries faster; on a damp winter day it takes longer
How to help it dry
Open the window or turn on the air conditioning or a dehumidifier
Lift the loose cushions and set them aside
Do not cover the sofa with throws while it is damp
Why a soaked sofa starts to smell
When a sofa is washed at home with too much water, the foam stays wet inside for days, and that is when the damp smell and water marks appear. That is why we use little moisture and extract it back. If your sofa already has that smell, see sofa that smells of damp.
How much it costs
Sofa cleaning costs €40 (2 seats), €55 (3 seats) or €75 (corner sofa or chaise longue), guide price. We work in Porto, Vila Nova de Gaia, Matosinhos, Maia and Gondomar.
